Keiichi Asagoe played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 9 years.
Asagoe signed with the Osaka Tigers in 1955, and he went 0-for-8 in his first season. He was 4-for-40 in 1957, and he played 74 games with a .204/.258/.337 batting line in 1958. Asagoe recorded a .229/.235/.321 batting line in 70 games in 1959 as a backup 2B/OF but loist time at second after Minoru Kamata shined in 1960, leaving little time for the subs. He was 1-for-21 in '60, and he was turned into an outfielder (as noted, he had played some outfield bette). Asagoe hit .264/.260/.486 in 1961, and he had a 1-for-12 record in 1962. He went 0-for-3 in the 1962 Nippon Series, and the Tigers lost to the Toei Flyers in 7 games. Asagoe went 2-for-14 in 1963, and he had a .233/.281/.367 batting line in 49 games in 1964. He was 1-for-6 in the 1964 Nippon Series, and he hit a 2-run single against Kiyohiro Miura in Game 2. The Tigers still lost to the Nankai Hawks in 7 games, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Asagoe hit .200/.227/.314 with 108 hits and 13 homers in 9 seasons in NPB.
