Biographical Information[edit]
Kazushi Watanabe signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1963, but he only pitched one game in 1964 then he went to the Sankei Atoms. He went 1-1 with a 4.30 ERA in 1965, but he only pitched three games in 1966. Watanabe had a 3.55 ERA in 22 games as a LOOGY in 1968, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Watanabe was 1-1 with a 4.57 ERA, struck out 21 and pitched 43 1/3 innings over 45 games in 4 seasons in NPB.
