Biographical Information

Kazuo Miyazaki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years.

Miyazaki signed with the Mainichi Orions in 1952, and he went 5-2 with a 2.30 ERA in his first season. He was 7-4 with a 2.78 ERA in 1953, and he had a 5-4 record with a 3.31 ERA in 1954. Miyazaki improved to 4-1 with a 2.19 ERA in 1955, but he had a conflict with manager Kaoru Betto so the Orions released him. He then signed with the Takahashi Unions, and he announced his retirement after he recorded a 4.00 ERA in 33 games in 1956. He later coached Sapporo Daiichi High School from 1984 to 1995.

Overall, Miyazaki was 23-15 with a 2.93 ERA, struck out 205 and pitched 454 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
