Biographical Information

Outfielder Kazuo Katsuramoto was a famous freestyle wrestler in college, and he won Gold in the 1954 Asian Games. He also represented Japan in the 1956 Olympics, and he finished in 5th place. Katsuramoto signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows in 1957, but he only got 9 at-bats (getting two hits, a double and a run) before he announced his retirement in 1960.
