Biographical Information

Kazuhito Sato was drafted by the Lotte Orions in the 3rd round of the 1979 NPB draft, and he only got one at-bat for the big club in his first ten seasons. He hit .326/.408/.372 in 53 plate appearances over 47 games as a backup outfielder in 1990, but he slumped to .200/.302/.356 in 55 plate appearances in 1991 and he announced his retirement in 1992. He later coached Lotte's minors team from 1993 to 1994.
