Biographical Information

Kazuhiro Shibasaki was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 6th round of the 1997 NPB draft, and he had a 3.67 ERA in 13 games in his first season. He only pitched 2 games combined in the next four seasons, and he pitched 13 games with a 2.45 ERA in 2003. Shibasaki's ERA rose to 8.15 in 12 appearances in 2004 and he announced his retirement after having a 2.70 ERA in 8 relief outings in 2005.

Overall, Shibasaki was 3-1 with a 4.46 ERA, struck out 39 and pitched 72 2/3 innings in 6 seasons in NPB.
