Biographical Information

Katsumi Kuno played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years.

Kuno signed with the Chubu Nihon Dragons in 1946, and he went 7-8 with a 3.62 ERA in his first season. He improved to 7-4 with a 2.78 ERA in 1947, and he had a 5-13 record with a 4.05 ERA in 1948. Kuno's ERA rose to 9.60 in 11 appearances in 1949, and he announced his retirement after he allowed 14 runs in 8 innings in 1950.

Overall, Kuno was 19-30 with a 4.20 ERA, struck out 103 and pitched 433 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
