Biographical Information

Junichi Nakajima pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years.

Nakajima signed with the Nishitetsu Lions in 1957, and he recorded a 1.88 ERA in 12 relief outings in 1959. He then joined the rotation in 1960, and he went 8-8 with a 2.94 ERA. Nakajima went 3-3 with a 2.92 ERA in 1961, and he had a 4.85 ERA in 7 games in 1962. However, Nakajima suffered from injuries, and he announced his retirement after he recorded a 3.60 ERA in 8 games in 1963.

Overall, Nakajima was 13-13 with a 3.14 ERA, struck out 160 and pitched 286 2/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
