Biographical Information[edit]
Jungo Watanabe signed with the Kurowashi club in 1941, and he went 5-for-23 in his first season. He played 82 games with a .177/.257/.188 batting line in 1942, and he hit .206 .305/.265 in 1943. Watanabe also hit the first walk-off inside-the-park homer in NPB history on July 1, and he announced his retirement after that season.
Overall, Watanabe hit .189/.274/.216 with 84 hits in 3 seasons in NPB.
