Biographical Information

Jun Matsui was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 5th round of the 2009 NPB draft, and he stayed in the minors in his first two seasons. He played 46 games with a .287/.320/.462 batting line in 2012, and he went 7-for-30 in 2013. Matsui was 6-for-25 in 2014, and he went 2-for-12 in 2015. He only played 2 games in 2016, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Matsui hit .265/.307/.400 with 57 hits in 6 seasons in NPB.
