Biographical Information

Shortstop Jumpei Kawarada has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kawarada was drafted by the Softbank Hawks in the 4th round of the 2020 NPB draft; the scout was Kazuhide Sakuyama. He spent his first five seasons primarily in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he only got 2 at-bats combined for the big club. Kawarada also suffered from severe right foot injury, and he missed the entire 2024 season. The Hawks released him in 2025, and he signed with the Yomiuri Giants.
