Biographical Information

Juan Santana has played in minor leagues and in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Santana signed with the Houston Astros in 2010, and he hit .274/.350/.363 for the DSL Astros in 2011. He recorded a .268/.309/.330 batting line for the GCL Astros in 2012, and he played 60 games with a .234/.292/.313 batting line in 2013 for the Greeneville Astros. Santana hit .368/.380/.506 in Greenville in 2014, and his batting line was .239/.283/.304 for the Tri-City ValleyCats. The Astros then released him, and he joined the Dominican Academy of the Hiroshima Carp. He signed with the Carp in 2019, but he went 6-for-33 with the top team and he was released. Santana signed with the Acereros de Monclova in 2021, but he only played 3 games for them. He then crushed 13 homers with a .297/.332/.497 batting line for the Aigles de Trois-Rivières in 2022, and he was 13-for-39 with the Vaqueros de Monteria in winter. Santana hit .267/.313/.411 with 9 homers for the Sussex County Miners in 2023, and his batting line was .280/.321/.406 for the Charleston Dirty Birds in 2024. Santana had a solid .358/.382/.524 batting line in 56 games for the Bravos de Margarita in the winter, and he blasted 14 homers with a .313/.353/.535 batting line for the Pericos de Puebla in 2025.
