Biographical Information[edit]
John Dwyer played one game in the majors for the Cleveland Blues in 1882. He went 0 for 3 with 1 RBI while playing catcher on May 16th.
Although very little is known about him, SABR researchers have dug up several newspapers that mentioned him at the time. In these articles, he said that he was actually from Colorado and had been playing amateur ball in Iowa, in response to news items saying that he was from Chicago, IL.
