Biographical Information[edit]
Jobel Jimenez played in the Los Angeles Dodgers system as an outfielder in 1993-1994.
Jimenez was then was a Dodgers scout and outfield instructor. In 1999-2000, he scouted in Venezuela and was a minor league outfield coach for the Seattle Mariners. From 2001-2006, he scouted for the Boston Red Sox and coached for them in Venezuela. He then was hitting coach of the VSL Cardinals in 2007-2009, DSL Cardinals in 2011, GCL Cardinals in 2013, Peoria Chiefs in 2014-2016, Springfield Cardinals in 2017-2018 and Memphis Redbirds in 2019. In 2020 he was appointed to his first major league coaching job as assistant hitting coach of the St. Louis Cardinals, staying until the end of the 2021 season.
Jiménez was the Los Angeles Angels' assistant hitting coordinator from 2022-2025. He returned to the field as hitting coach of the Rocket City Trash Pandas in 2026.
