Jeffrey J. Gowan
The father of Jayson Werth, Jeff Gowan had played baseball and football in college. He was with the 1978 Johnson City Cardinals, playing the outfield and hitting .268/~.377/.302. He stole 15 bases without getting caught. A rotator cuff injury ended his career.
