Biographical Information[edit]
Jason Agresti has played in the independent leagues and for the Israeli national team.
He hit .410 in his high school senior. [1] He batted .231/.272/.325 as a college freshman, throwing out 7 of 15 would-be base-stealers. He improved to .280/.370/.484 with 16 doubles and 38 RBI in 54 games as a sophomore in 2016. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the America East Conference. [2] He produced at a .320/.358/.517 clip as a junior and .273/.388/.393 as a senior; his 50 career doubles were second-most in school annals. [3]
Signing with the Rockland Boulders, he hit .198/.320/.317 that summer and .268/.321/.366 for the '19 New Jersey Jackals, fielding .996. He batted .320/.388/.427 for the 2020 Jackals and .316/.386/.476 in 2021. In his 4th season with them, he produced at a .287/.367/.417 rate. Moving to the Sussex County Miners in 2023, he hit .266/.361/.386 then was at .265/.344/.368 for the 2024 Lake Erie Crushers. Switching clubs again, he had a .319/.390/.417 line for the 2025 New York Boulders with 78 RBI in 77 games, fielding .997. He was 9th in the Frontier League in RBI. He was named the league's All-Star backstop. [4]
Agresti then represented Israel in the 2025 European Championship and was their primary backstop. Debuting against France, he struck out against Quentin Moulin his first time up. His first hit was off Great Britain's Zach Cameron. He saved his best for last; in the 7th/8th place game, he had a single, double, two runs and three RBI in Israel's win over Croatia. For the tourney, he hit .250/.357/.333 with 4 runs and 3 RBI in 7 games, handling 44 chances error-free and throwing out 2 of 8 who tried to steal. He tied Robb Paller for 4th on Israel in runs. [5]
