Biographical Information[edit]
Jaime Roque was picked by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 53rd round of the 1993 amateur draft, one round before Jim Mann. He did not play in the minors ever but was with the Puerto Rican national team several times. He was 3-for-8 with a walk, double and a run in the 1994 Baseball World Cup, backing up Luis Ramos at 2B and handling 7 chances error-free. [1] He won Bronze in the 1995 Pan American Games [2] then was 1-for-13 with 4 walks, a double and a run in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup; he handled 17 chances without a miscue, splitting second with Miguel Rivera and backing up Luis Figueroa at SS. [3]
