Biographical Information[edit]
Jaime Galeano set the Salvadoran career strikeout record. [1] He won a pitching Triple Crown as well. [2] He was with the Salvadoran national team in the 1972 Amateur World Series. [3] In the 1974 Central American and Caribbean Games, he was 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA; he lost to Puerto Rico's Héctor Flores. He led his team in ERA, 1.60 ahead of #2 Ricardo Imendia; their other hurlers had a combined 10.25 ERA. He also was 2-for-5 with a walk and a double as one of their top hitters and handled five chances error-free. [4]
