Biographical Information[edit]

Jack Reeves was a negro ball player from Springfield, MO[1][2] who played regularly in Kansas City in the 1890s. He featured as a pitcher for the Lincoln Giants in 1890, winning at least 14 games for the independent semi-pro club. He returned to Nebraska in 1892, playing with Plattsmouth in the Nebraska State League. There he mostly played first base, but also played outfield and pitched. As a pitcher, he was said to have "an artistic and bewildering manner"[3].
