Biographical Information

Ikumi Kai has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Kai was drafted by the Softbank Hawks in the 3rd round of the 2022 NPB draft; the scout was Kazuhide Sakuyama. He mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2023, and he was 4-for-20 with the top team. However, Kai was hit on his face by a comebacker on January 3 in a training camp, and he missed the next two seasons due to severe cerebral contusion.
