Biographical Information

Ichiro Tamura has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Tamura represented Japan in the 2016 Haarlem Baseball Week. He was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 6th round of the 2016 NPB draft, and he had a 6.91 ERA in 12 games in 2017. He only pitched 5 innings for the big club in 2018, then he had a 6.14 ERA in 6 games in 2019. Tamura's ERA was 3.95 in 31 relief outings in 2020, then he notched a save with a 2.95 ERA in 22 games in 2021. However, Tamura missed most of the 2022 season due to shoulder injury, and he allowed 2 runs in 6 innings that season. He came back in 2023 as he had a solid 1.52 ERA in 24 games with 6 holds, then he collected a hold with a 1.82 ERA in 28 games in 2024.

Tamura's repertoire included a fastball (peak 93.2 mph) and shuuto.
