Biographical Information

Hyuga Takeyama has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Takeyama was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 5th round of the 2021 NPB draft, the scout was Chikashi Nakanishi. He had a 5.40 ERA in 5 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2022, and he also pitched one game for the top team. Takeyama then went 2-3 with a 4.33 ERA in 2023, and he slumped to 3-4 with a 8.33 ERA in 2024. He struggled again as his ERA was 6.60 in 28 games in 2025, and he didn't reach the big club in those three seasons.
