Si Tanka University-Huron closed in 2005, making the NAIA College World Series Opening Round that year.
Huron College was established in Huron, SD in 1897. The school was sold to a South Dakota corporation in January 1989 and became Huron University. The school was sold again in 1992, 1996, and finally to Si Tanka College in 2001, adopting its final name before closing in 2005.
