Biographical Information

Hokuto Miyata was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the first round of the development phase in the 2019 NPB draft; the scout was Takaya Hayashi. He hit .319/.379/.383 in 40 games in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2020, and he had a .277/.349/.328 batting line there in 2021. Miyata also went 0-for-2 with the top team in '21, but he was 1-for-7 in 2022 and he announced his retirement.
