Biographical Information

Hisashi Kitani was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 6th round of the 2005 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first two seasons. He went 3-for-1 with a 4.22 ERA in 22 games in 2008, and his ERA was 4.05 in 11 relief outings in 2009. Kitani only got 7 appearances in 2010, and he announced his retirement in 2011.
