Biographical Information

Hirozo Ishida signed with the Osaka Tigers in 1958, and he led the Western League in RBI in his first season. He was 1-for-6 in 1959, and he went 7-for-32 in 1960. Ishida had a 7-for-31 record in 1961, and he only played 2 games in 1962. He then recorded a .228/.267/.298 batting line in 39 games in 1963, and he was 2-for-20 in 1964 then he announced his retirement. He coached the Tigers in 1979.
