Biographical Information

Hiroshi Numata was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 3rd round of the 1995 NPB draft, and he had a 3.60 ERA in 3 games in 1996. He also led the Eastern League in ERA in '96, and he was 4-2 with a 4.01 ERA in 1997. Numata went 4-2 with a 4.24 ERA in 1998, but his ERA rose to 9.82 in 4 games in 1999. He didn't reach the big club in 2000, and he announced his retirement.
