Biographical Information

Hiroshi Aoyama played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.

Aoyama signed with the Kokutetsu Swallows in 1953, and he only got 2 at-bats in his first season. He hit .241/.278/.312 in 67 games in 1954, and he recorded a .223/.282/.322 batting line in 1965. Aoyama played a career-high 112 games with a .213/.265/.276 batting line in 1966, and he struggled again in 1967 as his batting line was .159/.226/.183 in 73 games. He was 2-for-24 in 1968, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Aoyama hit .208/.262/.272 with 155 hits and 8 homers in 6 seasons in NPB.
