Biographical Information

Hiroki Hongo was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 4th round of the 1998 NPB draft, but he never got more than 25 at-bats a season for the big club before he announced his retirement in 2005. He later coached Biwako Seikei Sport College from 2010 to 2017, and he was an assistant coach for Ryukoku University in 2019. He was named the new coach of Ryukoku University in 2020.
