Biographical Information

Hirofumi Ueno was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 3rd round of the 2006 NPB draft, and he notched 7 holds with a 4.50 ERA in 31 relief outings in 2007. He pitched 42 games with a 4.81 ERA in 2008, but he allowed 6 runs in 7 2/3 innings in 2009. Ueno then had a 4.94 ERA with 7 holds in 27 relief outings in 2010, and his ERA rose to 5.53 in 31 games in 2011. He didn't reach the top team in 2012, and he recorded a 7.02 ERA in 14 appearances in 2013. Ueno only pitched 2 innings in 2014, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Ueno was 8-7 with a 5.35 ERA and 27 holds, struck out 93 and pitched 158 innings in 7 seasons in NPB.
