Biographical Information

Hikaru Nakao was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 4th round of the 2016 NPB draft; the scout was Chikashi Nakanishi. He allowed 7 runs in 4 innings in 2017, then he notched 12 holds with a 3.50 ERA in 54 appearances in 2018. Nakao slumped to a 8.36 ERA in 12 games in 2019, and he only pitched 5 games with a 5.00 ERA in 2020. He didn't reach the big club in 2021, and he announced his retirement.
