Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Hideyuki Suzuki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years.
Suzuki signed with the Mainichi Orions in 1956, and he hit .207/.264/.313 in 114 games in his first season. He lost his spot after Sukehiro Moroki joined the team in 1957, and he only got 40 at-bats combined in the next three seasons. Suzuki hit .222/.291/.319 in 50 games in 1960, and he was 0-for-1 in the 1960 Nippon Series. he then jumped to the Kokutetsu Swallows, and he played 84 games with a .208/.250/.305 batting line in 1961. Suzuki went 8-for-53 in 1962, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Suzuki hit .206/.256/.306 with 131 hits and 10 homers in 7 seasons in NPB.
