Biographical Information[edit]

Hideki Kishimoto was drafted by the Yokohama BayStars in the 5th round of the 2004 NPB draft, and he had a 4.66 ERA in 15 games in 2005. He recorded a 4.70 ERA in 6 appearances in 2006, but he only pitched 4 innings in 2007. The BayStars then traded him with Shogo Kimura to the Hiroshima Carp for Yasuhiro Oyamada, and he had a 5.35 ERA in 37 games in 2008. Kishimoto notched 10 holds with a 5.97 ERA in 51 relief outings in 2010 after staying in the minors for a year, and he collected 10 holds again with a 4.17 ERA in 42 games in 2011. His ERA rose to 6.75 in 27 appearances in 2012, and he didn't return to the big club in 2013 then he announced his retirement.

Overall, Kishimoto was 6-9 with 27 holds and a 5.30 ERA, struck out 171 and pitched 203 2/3 innings in 7 seasons in NPB.
