Heddy van Mourik was an outfielder for the Terrasvogels when they won the Eerste Klasse in 1969, remaining with them for their lone Hoofdklasse season in 1970. He was noted for his speed. He was an official with Terrasvogels for many years after his playing career ended, working on the groundscrew, tennis, hockey and billiards. He was noted for his groundscrew work in tennis, earning a Royal Decoration for his work. He married Dutch national softball team infielder Ludy Handgraaf.
