Biographical Information

Hayato Yuge has played in Nippon Pro Baseball. He was the tallest Japanese southpaw in NPB history.

Yuge was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 4th round of the 2018 NPB draft; the scout was Yoshinori Okihara. He was 3-3 with a 3.74 ERA in 2019, and he slumped to 3-2 with a 5.01 ERA in 2020. Yuge's ERA was 7.04 in 5 appearances in 2021, and he recorded a 3.29 ERA in 13 relief outings in 2022. His ERA rose to 5.59 in 12 appearances in 2023, and he pitched 34 games with a 5.94 ERA in 2024.
