Biographical Information[edit]
Hatsuo Ota signed with the Hankyu Braves in 1958, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first two seasons. He was 7-for-41 in 1961, and he hit .183/.274/.292 in 77 games in 1962 while Takatsugu Toguchi saw the most action at 1B. Ota had a 2-for-24 record in 1963, and he also led the Eastern League in homers. He only played 2 games in 1964, and he announced his retirement.
