Biographical Information

Haruto Watanabe has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Watanabe won the batting title in the 2021 All-Japan University Baseball Championship Series. He was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the 4th round of the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Daisuke Hayakawa. He hit .259/.342/.316 in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2022, and he went 1-for-17 with the big club. Watanabe then had a 7-for-41 record in 2023, and he recorded a .256/.351/.296 batting line in the minors while leading the Western League with 20 steals. He played 65 games with a .182/.212/.260 batting line in 2024.
