The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars first took the field as a new Atlantic League team in 2024. The team's name was chosen to honor the production of the C-82 and C-119 cargo planes which took place in Hagerstown. In their first ever game on April 25th, their pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter against the York Revolution.
