Guillermo Rosado Ramos (Guillo)
Biographical Information[edit]
Guillermo Rosado hit .378 in 12 seasons in the Puerto Rican amateur league, three times topping .400; his average is a record for those with 10+ seasons. He batted .333 for the Puerto Rican national team in the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games, finishing 10th in average. He had 7 putouts, one assist and no errors in right field for the Gold Medalists. It was Puerto Rico's only baseball Gold Medal in the Central American and Caribbean Games in the 20th Century. Off the field, he was noted for his charity and his assistance to neighbors. In 1992, he was inducted into the Puerto Rican Sports Hall of Fame.
