Biographical Information

Goichi Inokubo signed with the Lotte Orions in 1989, and he hit .190/.306/.286 in 42 games in his first two seasons. He played 26 games with a .211/.286/.263 batting line in 1991, and he only got 3 at-bats in 1992. Inokubo then stayed in the minors for a season, and he recorded a .240/.356/.340 batting line in a career-high 60 plate appearances over 38 games in 1995. He was the primary backup at backstop that year, behind Masahiko Jozume. He didn't reach the big club in 1996, and he announced his retirement.
