Gasper Freyer
Gasper Freyer was the first batter for a Slovenian national team in a European Championship game. When they debuted in the 1995 European Championship, he played center and hit leadoff against Italy. He was 0 for 3 against Dante Carbini and was replaced in the field by Igor Petrocnik late in the contest. He was 0-for-13 for those Euros, with one walk while making three errors in 12 chances.
