Biographical Information[edit]
Gabriel Valarezo pitched for the Spanish national team that won Bronze in the 1989 European Championship. He appeared in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup, striking out 12 in 9 1/3 IP. He was 0-2, leading Spain in losses, but his 6.75 ERA was second on the team behind Felix Cano. He won Bronze in the 1991 European Championship as well. Valarezo was awful in the 1992 Olympics, allowing 10 hits in 17 at-bats and walking 9 in 2 2/3 IP. His 33.75 ERA was Spain's worst and he took the loss against Japan.
