Biographical Information[edit]
Fumihiko Sato signed with the Nippon Ham Fighters in 1980, but he only played one game combined for the big club in his first seven seasons. He hit .234/.248/.327 in 49 games in 1988, and he was released in 1990. Sato then signed with the Taepyungyang Dolphins of the KBO, and he had a .272/.350/.412 batting line in 114 games in 1991. He tied Cheol-woo Park and Jong-hun Jang for 6th in doubles with 24. Sato hit .309/.368/.493 in 78 games in 1992, and he announced his retirement.
