Biographical Information

Frank Rodriguez has pitched in the minors and for the Dominican national team.

Rodriguez was signed by Los Angeles Dodgers in January 2019. He began his professional career with the DSL Dodgers Shoemaker in 2019, and he hit .175/.351/.211 in 40 games. After the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the minor leagues in 2020, Rodriguez hit .242/.330/.330 in 2021 and .236/.333/.375 in 2022 for the ACL Dodgers. He struggled at the plate as his batting line fell to .163/.231/.291 in 2023 for the Great Lakes Loons, and he also went 2-for-6 with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. He hit .181/.244/.210 in 32 games for the Loons in 2024, and he played one game with the AAA Oklahoma City Baseball Club.

The Santiago native represented Dominican Republic in the 2024 Premier 12, splitting catching with Randy Florentino. He was 0-for-4 against Cuba with a RBI grounder off Yankiel Mauris, and he went 0-for-1 against Australia with 2 walks. He started versus South Korea, and he was 1-for-3 with a walk and a single against Hyeong-jun So in the 4th inning.
