Biographical Information[edit]
Federico Arce hit .294 and fielded .875 for the Mexican national team in the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games, playing the corner outfield with one game at third base. [1] In the 1959 Pan American Games, the Chicago Tribune carried box scores for four of Mexico's five games; in those four, he hit .400 with two runs and four RBI, slugging .733 as four of his six hits went for extra bases. He played left field and hit cleanup. [2] He was with Mexico when they won Silver in the 1961 Amateur World Series. [3]
