Biographical Information

Federico Arce hit .294 and fielded .875 for the Mexican national team in the 1959 Central American and Caribbean Games, playing the corner outfield with one game at third base. In the 1959 Pan American Games, the Chicago Tribune carried box scores for four of Mexico's five games; in those four, he hit .400 with two runs and four RBI, slugging .733 as four of his six hits went for extra bases. He played left field and hit cleanup. He was with Mexico when they won Silver in the 1961 Amateur World Series.
