Biographical Information

Emanuel Trujillo has been on the Nicaraguan national team.

Trujillo was signed by the San Francisco Giants in February 2020 but released in 2021 without having played a game in their system. He hit .310/.346/.535 for his hometown Tigres de Chinandega in 2024-2025, tying for 5th in the Nicaraguan Winter League with five homers. That won him a spot on Nicaragua's team for the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers (held in February 2025). He was the DH and hit 5th in their opener against South Africa. He was retired by Dylan Unsworth twice then singled off Justin Erasmus and scored the game-tying run when Freddy Zamora singled him in. In the 10th, he scored his team's other run, on a Ronald Rivera single. Nicaragua swept to a spot in the 2026 World Baseball Classic; he had gone 1-for-6 with those two big runs.
