Biographical Information[edit]
Eizo Nishina signed with the Hanshin club in 1942, and he hit .042/.179/.042 in 22 games in his first season. He was then turned into a pitcher, and he was 3-1 with a 2.19 ERA in 1943. Nishina then enlisted into the military, and he missed the next two seasons. He returned in 1946, but he didn't reach the big club again so he announced his retirement.
