Biographical Information

Eito Tanaka has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Tanaka was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 3rd round of the 2017 NPB draft; the scout was Yutaka Harada. He mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first seven seasons, and he only pitched 10 games combined for the big club. He also underwent right elbow surgery and missed the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The Yomiuri Giants picked him in the 2024 NPB Active draft. Tanaka broke out in 2025, and he notched 36 holds with a 2.13 ERA in 62 relief outings. He was 3rd in the Central League in holds (tied with Daichi Ishii and Kota Nakagawa) and 3rd in appearances (tied with Taisei Ota).
