Biographical Information[edit]
Eiichiro Yamamoto signed with the Tokyo Giants when the Japanese Professional Baseball League was founded in 1936, and he was 3-for-12 in the spring season. He went 7-for-35 in the fall season, and he had a 4-for-24 record in the 1937 spring season. Yamamoto hit .241/.293/.352 in the fall season, but he only got 9 more at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1942.
Overall, Yamamoto hit .209/.284/.284 with 28 hits in 10 seasons in NPB.
