Biographical Information[edit]

David Glaude has played in the minors and for Team Canada.

He hit .345/.454/.655 with 45 runs in 50 games for Missouri Western in 2015 and improved to .403/.500/.686 with 22 doubles, 74 RBI and 62 runs in 58 games in '16. He set the school record in RBI and tied for the double record. He was first-team All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. In 2017, he batted .340/.421/.530 and was second-team All-Conference. He set school record for career homers (30), doubles (49) and RBI (165). [1]

Turning pro, the shortstop had a rough adjustment, going 0 for 1 for the Les Capitales de Québec and hitting .222/.316/.304 for the Trois-Rivières Aigles. He improved to .257/.345/.384 with the 2018 Aigles and then .290/.381/.458 in 2019 with 22 doubles, 13 homers, 78 runs and 51 walks in 90 games, going 16-for-19 in steal attempts, now primarily as a second baseman. He was second in the Canadian-American Association in runs (8 behind Conrad Gregor), was 6th in doubles, tied Jhalan Jackson and Matt Oberste for 4th in dingers and 7th in walks. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Returning to Les Capitales in 2021, he posted a .308/.383/.493 batting line with 79 runs, 75 RBI, 27 doubles, 13 homers and 31 steals (caught only 7 times) in 95 contests. He was second in the Frontier League in runs (six behind L.P. Pelletier), trailed only Chad Sedio in two-baggers, was second in RBI (10 behind Trevor Craport) and was 9th in swipes (between Jairus Richards and Rubén Castro). He was named the All-Star second baseman. [2]

Glaude was a capital performer for the Capitales in 2022, at .325/.388/.541 with 78 runs, 16 home runs, 60 RBI and 26 steals (in 31 tries) in 86 games. He tied Dalton Combs and Pavin Parks for 5th in runs, tied for 4th in triples (5) and missed the top-ten in steals by one. He was the main second baseman for Canada in the 2023 Pan American Games Qualifier and was retired by Panama's Julio Denis his first time up. His first hit came off Davis Romero in the 8th, driving in Jake Sanford with what would be the winning run. He hit .250/.471/.250 with 3 runs in 4 games and handled 15 chances error-free, but Canada lost their rematch with Panama for a spot in the 2023 Pan American Games. He tied for 3rd in the event with four walks and tied Exequiel Talevi and Jason Patterson for the most assists (12). [3]

In 2023, he hit .285/.374/.467 for Québec, tying for tenth in the loop with four three-baggers. He batted .296/.417/.429 in 27 games in 2024.
